The Khajuraho Dance Festival typically takes place from 20th to 26th February each year.
A 3-night/4-day plan is the ideal duration to witness the world-class classical performances while exploring the UNESCO-listed temple complex and nearby natural wonders.
The Festival Experience
- Venue: Performances are held in an open-air auditorium set against the majestic backdrop of the illuminated Chitragupta and Vishwanatha Temples.
- Performance Styles: Watch legendary and emerging artists perform Kathak, Bharatanatyam, Odissi, Kuchipudi, and Manipuri.
- Timing & Entry: Shows usually start around 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM and entry is free for all visitors (first-come, first-served).
- Cultural Market (Hunar): A vibrant craft bazaar where you can shop for indigenous art, terracotta, and regional Bundeli snacks.
