Day trip to Vaishali (55 km). See Ashoka's lion pillar, the crowned Relic Stupa and the Japanese peace pagoda. Vaishali was the world's first republic and birthplace of Lord Mahavira. Return to Patna.
Drive (~5 hrs) to Bodh Gaya. Check in and spend the afternoon in quiet contemplation at the Mahabodhi complex. Attend the evening lamp offering ceremony. Overnight Bodh Gaya.
