Japan Nature & Cultural Heritage (10 Days / 9 Nights) Trip
Arrival & Asakusa Culture. Arrive at Narita or Haneda and head to Asakusa. Visit the ancient Senso-ji Temple, Tokyo's oldest temple, and stroll through Nakamise Street for traditional snacks.
Nikko Day Trip (UNESCO). Take a 2-hour train to Nikko. Explore the lavishly decorated Toshogu Shrine, a World Heritage site, and witness the 97-metre Kegon Falls.
Modernity & Gardens. Start at the Meiji Jingu Shrine, a forest oasis in the city. Later, experience the contrast of Shibuya Crossing and the futuristic art at teamLab Borderless
Hakone Hot Springs. Travel to Hakone. Take the Hakone Ropeway for views of the active Owakudani volcanic valley and cruise across Lake Ashi to spot Mt. Fuji reflected in the water. Stay overnight in a traditional ryokan (inn) with an onsen.
Day 5: Lake Kawaguchi Nature. Visit Oishi Park for stunning flower displays with Mt. Fuji as a backdrop. In the afternoon, board the Shinkansen (Bullet Train) to Kyoto.
Imperial Kyoto. Spend the day at Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion) and the rock garden of Ryoan-ji. Wander through the Gion District at dusk to spot geishas in the historic wooden alleyways.
Bamboo Groves & Torii Gates. Early morning visit to the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove and Tenryu-ji Temple. Finish the day hiking through the thousands of vermilion gates at Fushimi Inari Shrine.
Nara Park & Great Buddha. A 45-minute train ride takes you to Nara. Visit Todai-ji Temple, housing one of Japan's largest bronze Buddha statues, and interact with the friendly free-roaming deer in Nara Park.
Osaka Castle & Dotonbori. Visit the majestic Osaka Castle and its surrounding park. Spend your final evening in Dotonbori, famous for its neon lights and incredible street food culture.
Departure. Transfer to Kansai International Airport (KIX)
for your flight home.
